Maine Association of Planners presenting Alan Bromley Citizen Planner of the Year Award (2009)
Planner works in conjunction with the Planning Board and under the guidance of the Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted by voters in 2007 and details the vision for growth and development for the Town of Holden. The Comprehensive Plan provides guidelines that reflect a desire to promote a positive economic climate in Holden without negatively impacting the natural environment and rural character of the Town.
The 2007 Comprehensive Plan reflects two years of extensive data gathering and community input in such areas as housing, natural resources, regional economic development, transportation and municipal services. The resulting goals, policies and strategies are implemented by the municipal Departments and the current Boards and Committees. The Town of Holden's Ordinances were revised to reflect the provisions of the 2007 Comprehensive Plan.
The Community and Planning Department is a resource for residents and business partners alike. Whether building a new home or working through a subdivision review, Planner is available to assist you. Ordinances, the 2007 Comprehensive Plan and other necessary documentation is available on our website and at the Town of Holden.
We look forward to working with you!
