Holden Land Trust

A group of Holden citizens has formed the Holden Land Trust. The land trust will be an important tool for land owners who want to preserve their property. It will use several mechanisms, including purchase or donation of properties, and voluntary land conservation agreements where the land owner retains ownership and control of the land. Each landowner’s situation is different, and the land trust will work with each one who is interested to find the best way to accomplish the landowner’s goals for their property.

There are many different reasons for conserving lands, and the land trust will be in a position to work to make sure the traditional uses, which can include agriculture and forestry, snowmobiling, hiking , biking, hunting and fishing are preserved.
