Community Development

DeBeck Business Park

Holden’s DeBeck Business Park, located on the easterly hillside of the I-395 valley, is a logical choice for cost effective quality lots in a wooded setting. Completed by the Town of Holden in July of 1999, DeBeck Business Park has 12 lots in the first phase, with additional acreage available for either a second phase or larger projects.

In creating the DeBeck Business Park, Holden’s elected officials, representing a constituent base of mostly resident professionals, had two main goals, to create a business park for this group and to increase the business side of the municipal tax base. Here are some of the advantages the DeBeck Business Park has to offer.

A premier location for companies seeking a lower cost of doing business in a pro-development community.

Ideal for professional, medical and general office space. Sites available for immediate development.

Location - Strategically located at the intersection of Route 1A and Interstate 395, DeBeck Business Park captures the future growth pattern for the eastern entrance to the Bangor Region. Making access to Bangor International Airport quick and easy.

Traffic - Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) at the entrance, obtained from Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) records, is approximately 20,000 vehicles.

Local Review - The Town of Holden is one of eight communities in the State that is certified by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to conduct local planning review beyond the 3 acre Site Location threshold up to 7 acres.

Services - Public water supply for domestic and fire protection provided by the Brewer Water District and 3 phase power supplied by Bangor Hydro Electric Company. Verizon has installed infrastructure making T1 and T3 service available in the park. Midmaine Communications fiber optic trunk lines are also available at the entrance of the Park.
